OSG welcomes new Assistant Solicitor General, State Solicitors |

Solicitor General Cadiz administered the oath taking of a new Assistant Solicitor General and Senior State Solicitors, among others. Last May 19, 2011 at a formal oath taking ceremony attended by the employees of the OSG, Solicitor General Joel Cadiz congratulated the newly appointed Assistant Solicitor General, Atty. Hermes L. Ocampo. ASG Ocampo graduated with degree in Political Science from the University of the East in 1984. He earned his Bachelor of Laws from the Arellano University in 1992 and passed the bar in 1994. He has worked with the OSG in 1996 as an Associate Solicitor and was later appointed as a Senior State Solicitor in 2008. “You have worked hard for this. This truly is a well-deserved appointment” he said to ASG Ocampo during the ceremony. Solicitor General Cadiz likewise addressed newly appointed solicitors and encouraged them to continue working hard in behalf of the Republic and the OSG. Newly promoted solicitors who took their oath during the ceremony included Senior State Solicitors Fenicar A. Tabao and Bernardo C. Villar; State Solicitor II Hilarion B. Buban; State Solicitors I Lawrence Martin A. Albar, Gerik Caesare A. Paderanga , Jacqueline M. Balictar, Charisse G. Olalia, Ma. Christina P. Lim, Margarita Eugenia F. Victorino, Melanie Rosary A. Quimbo, Russel. D. Sabado, Mclaire Sharone E. Rodriguez, Paolo V. Quetulio, Sharon E. Millan-Decano and Ma. Sophia P. Obieta-Palad. The appointment papers were signed by His Excellency President Benigno Aquino III and transmitted to the OSG last May 10, 2011 |
